The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) is a regional chamber formed in 2016 to support a diverse business community that spans nearly forty-five miles. We proudly serve the needs of nearly half a million year-round residents and welcome over a million visitors annually. As a business membership organization, we are funded through the generous investment and ongoing support of our members. The GCVCC is a registered 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.
Mission Statement:
We strive to enhance the overall business climate for our membership by serving as a catalyst for local commerce through our business development programs, a convener of elected officials, business professionals, and thought leaders through our many member and public events, and a champion for the local business community through our ongoing advocacy work.
In alignment with our mission, the Employer Connect Program (ECP) is a new workforce initiative launched in partnership with Riverside County’s District 4 Department of Housing and Workforce Solutions/Workforce Development Division (HWS/WDD). This pilot program is designed to support businesses throughout the district by streamlining access to workforce resources.
After enrolling in the program through the GCVCC, qualifying businesses will hire a new full-time employee who will receive training provided by the HWS Continuum of Care Division (HWS/COC). To support this transition, Workforce Development will reimburse the employer up to $20 per hour for the first 90 days of employment, with a maximum reimbursement of 480 hours.
Qualifying is simple — your business must meet a few basic requirements. For full eligibility details and to get started, visit: https://gcvcc.org/employer-connect-program/
